AP Chemistry VS AP Music Theory VS (BOTH + online course)

Hey CCers! I'm having trouble picking out a schedule for senior year. There are too many courses I'd like to take, but it's possible to take an online course at my school. Here are the courses (5) that are permanent in my schedule:
- AP Literature
- AP Statistics
- AP Physics B
- AP Spanish Lang
- Band

Here are the ones I'm willing to juggle around.
- AP Macroecon
- AP Chemistry
- AP Music Theory

Red means required for graduation at my school

Here are the possible combinations:
Original 5 + AP Macroecon + AP Chemistry
Original 5 + AP Macroecon + AP Music Theory
Original 5 + AP Chemistry + AP Music Theory + AP Macroecon via online course

And the possible consequences:
No AP music theory, but I intend to minor in music
No AP chem, but I intend to major in biology, thus chemistry may be required in college
May be a stressful senior year; will I survive with 8 courses + college apps + all the other things I do? Has anyone tried this before?

Is your online course over the summer or during school?

^It’s during the school year (basically it takes up extracurricular time.)

Honestly, if I were you I would take out AP Spanish and then take the remaining three APs you’re juggling with. 3-4 APs is enough in your senior year to get into at least a mid-tier Ivy, and 6 is ridiculously high anyway.

^Absurd amounts of APs are the norm at my school :stuck_out_tongue: Dropping spanish sounds like a good idea considering the difficulty of getting a 5 on the exam (the max my reach schools will take) and my career goals (spanish isn’t very high on the list.) However, I don’t want to bail out on my Spanish IV teacher who will teach the AP class. :frowning:
I’d really like to not take AP Physics, but it’s a requirement… sigh

Take macro and music theory. I’m assuming you already took AP Bio. It’s not a big deal not to have AP Chem you can just take gen chem in college
