So I know I've posted quite alot about AP chem, but I'm just really nervous about the class. I honestly want to take the class. I most likely will either take chemistry over the summer or study chemistry by myself. I would just like to know what you all thought of AP chem if you had taken it, if any of you took it without any previous chemistry course in high school and how it was. I've already started studying some topics and I understand all the very basics ( types of bonds, the periodic table, etc). I've also started studying stoichiometry and I feel like I understand it pretty well. What topics should I focus my studies on to prepare for AP chemistry? Thanks for any replies....

Well I am currently taking AP chem and it isn’t as bad as it seems but I took honors last year and it pretty much prepared me for the basics of the class. In honors, we mainly focused on stoichiometry and naming molecular and ionic compounds. You seem to have those down, try getting into the pH levels and the molecular structure as well. If you want a look into AP chemistry that is somewhat brief, try a website called sciencegeek.net. Just look at the overall topics and start learning the basics of them. The more you prepare, the easier it will be.

Thank you! I’ll just try to prepare as much as I can
