AP Chemistry

Does anyone know some reliable online courses for self-study for AP Chem?

I don't know about online sources, but the 5 steps to a 5 book for AP Chem is pretty good. (I didn't self study though).

It's not the best idea to self study for AP Chemistry.(personal opinion)

why?

emm...it's considered to be one of the hardest APs to self study just because of the vast amount concepts you have to understand and also the labs associated with it. I found this AP to be the hardest..and I did have an AP Class for this class....well, as I said again, it's my personal opinion, and my experience. IF you think you had a really strong one semester of Chemistry, and do well on practice Aps..then, it's upto you to decide! :)

Any suggestions?

I self studied AP Chem, but I'm not sure about any online courses you could use. If you want book suggestions, just search this forum.

I think there are some good online tutorials...also if you want to practice real tests do those one from CB (not Princeton or CliffsAp or anything..those are usually designed for their study guides which may not all the time be comprehensive..haha..well, CB designs their practice tests for their self interest too.)

Well here's a ton of old exams to study from. I definietly made use of it.

thankyou for the links/study suggestions

Hey, GoldShadow- What books did you use to self-study?

Brown/Lemay/Bursten for the textbook, Princeton Review for most prep, and Cliffs for info about labs.

The Brown/LeMay/Bursten is a great book. I did most of the example proplems in the text and it helped me a bunch. I also used the Princeton Review;however, PR is not a good review book without a good base. The college board gives this particular AP exam a generous curve. If you study hard you can easily get a 4 - I did.
