<p>Certainly not true. I got in with 3 years of Spanish to Yale and Stanford (Harvard waitlist…we’ll see if I get off it sometime this month). Lots of people get in with 3 years of a language (or even 2 years). It just depends on what you decide to take in its place. Band was my primarily extracurricular and since it took an entire period up I decided I wanted to take Band instead of Spanish my Junior year.</p>
