AP Class Game.

Directions: You are to divide AP Classes into 6 different categories. Pretend that you’re in high school for the next…let’s say ten years. You have plenty of time to take any class you want to. The categories are:
-Have take / Taking this year / Taking before you graduate (for real). *
-Classes you would take that your school offers if you have more time.
-Classes you would not take that your school offers.
-Classes you would take if your school began offering them.
-Classes you might, but probably wouldn’t if your school offered them.
-Classes you would not take under any circumstances.
You must sort ALL AP Classes offered by the College Board. Here’s a list if needed: 2012 AP Exam Calendars - AP Exam Dates

More Insight
All the classes are taught at your school. There is no self-study option.
If you have self-studied either include it under either “Classes I would take…” or “Classes I would / may not…” Depending on the course situation. Also include in parentheses beside the course “self-studied” or “self-studying” if that applies to you.

The directions say NOT to put your self-studied courses under courses you’d taken.

Those courses are all offered at my school, but I self studied them because I was too young to take them. I figure that puts them in the first category.

Also, how do you know what courses I’ve self studied? o.0

Oh no, someone else answered and deleted their post.

You guys are boring.

AP Calc BC (Placed in the second-highest stream in the sixth grade and didn’t really have the time to take the skip test)

AP Biology (Scheduling conflict and wouldn’t be able to finish all my credits in 4 years if I took this class since it’s a block everyday, which is 90x5=7.5 hours a week. They also have mandatory after-school labs, so the class is essentially two classes and an EC… frankly don’t have time for that)

Classes I would take that my school offers if I had more time / met the Pre-Req. requirements. (If you’re not eligible please say why):

AP Calc BC (When I was in 9th grade I was in alegbra. So I was on the on-level sequence. After I got an A in Trig/ Alegbra 2 in 11 grade, I was reccomended to take precalculus over the summer. I got an A+ in precalculus, but I was only allowed to take AP Calc AB.

AP Bio (I wanted to double up honors physics and AP Bio, but I wasn’t reccomended to double up science (Stupid B+ in honors chemistry! If I only got the A!) They told me to choose one or the other, and colleges would rather see a person who took all the sciences so I chose honors physics.

AP Chem (see AP Bio)

AP Physics C E&M and Mechanics- If only I was smart enough to take earth science in 8th grade, but alas… I learned some physics in a pre-colllege program and I fell in love, bt whatever.

AP Spanish - I used to be an A+ spanish student… until spanish 4. I had a terrible spanish 4 teacher. There was initially 24 kids in the class. But most were failing so they dropped out of spanish 4, so only 7 kids were left in the class. Only the native spanish speaker got an A. Then out of the remainder 6 people the grades were B’s, C+'s, C’s, and 1 kid got a D. I got a C+. So I could go in to AP.

Classes I would take that my school offers if I had more time / met the Pre-Req. requirements. (If you’re not eligible please say why):

AP Calc BC- Took a test to be put in Algebra I in 7th grade as a joke (as did everyone else in the room), so I took Algebra I later on in 8th grade. Hence, I’m not as up to speed enough to take BC in high school.

AP Physics B- I posted this as a class I’m eventually really going to try to take, but our physics teacher is rather picky when it comes to math. Since he prefers at least a year of an advanced calculus class BEFORE taking AP Physics, I may not be able to take it my senior year concurrently with AP Calculus AB.
