I'm debating whether I should actually take AP English my senior year, and I need help on deciding. I already have AP Calculus BC and AP U.S Gov and politics on my schedule for senior year. There are two main reasons why.
1. The teacher is rather stern, strict, and very specific on what he wants and how he wants it done. The fact that it is an AP alone is a bit scary, but not so much compared to the teacher. A lot of kids fail his college prep. classes. HOWEVER, some feel like he will make you a changed person, as he is an English master and almost never forgets his rules.
2. I plan to become a computer engineer, so English is not really related to it in a great sense. Should I just take the AP class for the sake of having another AP class to add to the list, or should I take it so I can prepare for the AP test(s)? I don't want to end up taking the test, waste $90 and have it not go towards anything. Does the AP credit just go towards General Ed. classes in most universities or does it benefit more towards people for a specific major?

Thanks for any suggestions!
