I need your advice. I am a girl who likes challenging myself. I feel like I am not worthy while comparing myself to people who get perfect A's. I get A's in everything except history (world history at least got a B). I have taken 4 AP classes. I am feeling really insecure while comparing myself to people on college confidential. The people who take 20 AP classes and stuff. So I thought I would give it a shot too.

I am also starting IB next year. Our IB program is in the top 20 or something. So very challenging.

I also do FLVS. I started last year and took 1 AP class. I liked it and stuff.
So this year, I was thinking of doing more classes during the summer.

So this is how my schedule is right now for next year:
IB HL MATH
IB HL HISTORY
IB HL ENGLISH'
IB SL CHEMISTRY
IB SL PSYCHOLOGY
IB SL SPANISH
TOK

Sorry they are in all Caps.

This is what I want to take in FLVS.

AP ENVIRON
AP COMPUTER SCIENCE
AP MICRO

Some of my IB classes, you can take the AP test also.

So I am taking 7 AP tests in a way.
AP US HISTORY
AP ENGLISH & lit
AP CHEM
AP ENIVORN
AP COMPUTER SCIENCE
AP CAL AB
AP MICRO

Does this loook like I want to challenge myself or kill (not literally) myself with so much work?

That's what I am debating on. Does this look like a lot of work too? Is it managable? I think I can but my parents think I can't.

FLVS?
You won’t be testing any HL exams next year or in TOK. So you have:
IB SL CHEMISTRY
IB SL PSYCHOLOGY
IB SL SPANISH
I really recommend that you take SL Chem and SL Psych your first year - makes senior year (somewhat) bearable. 2 IB’s isn’t too bad either, very manageable.
APUSH, AP Eng LANG (not Lit) are very manageable overlaps.
With IB Math HL (unless you are taking SL next year), you may need to do review for AP Calc AB, because much of the content isn’t covered - would be better off with BC.
AP Chem you will need to do review out of class - some overlap, not all concepts will be covered.
That leaves Enviromental, CS, and Micro, your ‘FLVS’ classes. I would highly recommend you to do only 1 or 2 of them (or Micro+Macro), given full IB means you have very little review time to self study them.
It’s more important in my opinion to take 10 AP’s and get 5’s and some 4’s, than it is to get 3’s and 4’s on 20 AP’s.

Okay I see what you are saying. But I was thinking of starting my FLVS classes during the summer and working full-time. I would think I can finish them in time.

My Schedule for Next Year:
IB Biology
AP Calculus (I’m ahead of math & took IB Pre-Calc this year)
IB English
IB French
TOK/Research 3 (My school splits up TOK into 2 years so we have Research for our EEs)
IB Philosophy
IB US History

AP Exams for Next Year:

AP Calculus
AP English Language & Comp.
AP English Lit & Comp
AP French
AP US History

IB Exam:

IB Philosophy SL (1-Year Course)

I like how you challenge yourself btw =) I might do FLVS as well

I signed up for FLVS AP Env but dropped out. It was fairly easy material but having to do all these experiments and wait 2 days for a crappy vague response from the teacher wasn’t working out for me. I had a lot of questions and waiting 2 days for a almost useless reply wasn’t good enough.
