Hello.
Should I get my easy ap classes done early in high school?
I mean things like ap human geography, ap phycology, and ap us history. I heard those are pretty easy.
I should have taken ap human geography this year in 9th grade.
Or… is there a place online where I can take those classes?
Is graduating early a good thing?
Thank you
Hi! From experience I would definitely recommend trying to take as many AP courses as you can throughout your high school career. And if those AP courses are considered “easy” then, yes definitely take them! An easy AP course at your school doesn’t necessarily mean that its easy at another school, so take as many as you can! APUSH was one of the harder ones at my high school. I am sure you can take AP courses online. They will be harder just because you aren’t getting that face to face instruction but it is definitely doable. I know my high school had a couple different websites where I could take classes from over the summer and still get credit for, so just check with your counselor. Lastly, I honestly don’t see a point to graduating early. Yes, definitely work hard, but what is the rush? You have so much time in front of you! I am in my first semester of college and I don’t feel like graduating early from high school would have benefited me in any way. Unless you know exactly what you wanna do and exactly what major you want. But even still, I feel like graduating high school early won’t make that big of a difference. Now graduating college early…that’s a different story! The only thing I regret is not taking many AP courses, so if you are on edge of whether or not you should go for it…do it! It helps with your rigor when applying to colleges! Good Luck!
What were some of the sites your teacher told you about?
@Daisygal
It was a website specific to my county/school district.
@Daisygal
Opps. I meant that us government is an easy ap class. Not ap us history.
Thanks for he help!
Talk to your counselor about your course path. Your county or state probably has an online program where you can take some if needed. Take as many as you can without over-stressing yourself. If you take one or two next year you can take less junior and senior year. If you have a dream school you’re aiming for, see what’s normal for them.
