AP Classes easy??

Do universities know what the rigor is for ap classes, because from where I'm at, the AP classes are a joke because we barely get assignments (meaning barely any hw). I'm studying for the AP tests with some friends and were doing fine but I'm worried if Colleges will look into it more and it will affect my college admission.
Also, the school I'm going to is fairly new with teachers teaching their first time. I'm taking 3 AP classes currently.

AP classes are ment to be very rigorous and prepare you for the AP exam. Colleges mainly look at your grade and exam score. If your class is easy then you probably wont get a good score on your AP exam. So study hard on the subjects, also if you look on the collegeboard website you can find practice exams to prepare. good luck!

It depends on which AP courses and tests.

If you look at which AP tests they actually give advanced placement for (which varies with each college), you can tell which ones they consider to be rigorous. E.g. you are more likely to get advanced placement out of Calculus BC than for Statistics.

As long as you do well on the AP Exam, I wouldn’t worry about it. There are certain high schools well known by admissions officers for the rigor of their AP programs. But they certainly can’t have that information about every high school so it only makes sense that they look at the actual ap test scores for validation.

If the college can look up the average ap scores for a test for a school (I know that Texas publishes the average for all tests) and sees that it’s low, I think it might actually help you on your application if you have a 4 or a 5. After all, you took the initiative to study for a test that you classroom instruction didn’t prepare you for.

I self studied for AP tests without taking the classes. They’re really not that hard (you’ll find out in college that non-science classes are jokes)
