This is a dumb thread.... it REALLY depends on the school, teacher, and environment in which its taught.

I mean, I thought Econ was easy and so was Euro. Calc is REALLY hard (on the AP test) but Stats is harder to ace(the class). AP Lit is a killer course but AP USH is fairly easy.

the fact that it varies depending on school, teacher, environment doesn't at all make it a dumb thread.
this is the high school life forum right? I think almost everything about high school life varies and drastically at that.

LadyinRed.... you're correct but because of this it is impossible to judge how hard a certain class is going to be based on CCer opinions.

I wasn't annoyed or anything by the thread I just wouldn't put much weight into the posts. I think CC is great because we ARE able to see the differences in courses throughout the country.

... my post was not done to offend anyone. Sorry if it did.

In my school, the classes are as follows:
Easy: AP French Lang, AP Spanish Lang
Ok: AP Lang and Comp, AP Lit and Comp, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus
OMG***HARD: AP Physics, AP Euro History

Dunno about AP Music Theory. We have almost no AP classes compared to most schools. It's pretty sad.

I dont see how you guys can say that chemistry is easy or ok. The curve for chemistry is enormous, like 60% correct is a 5. Yet, only a small percentage of test takers get 5's.

it's different from person to person, but i found chem and calc very, very easy; physics isn't too bad as long you pay attention...guess different things click for different people; i've also heard ap music theory is one of the hardest ap tests around

HOW FUNNY! Nobody can agree on what's the hardest/easiest . . . I guess we're all different. For me so far . . .
Pretty hard: Bio (b/c my teacher taught nothing and I had to study the whole class by myself. I also hate memorization)
Medium hard: Physics, Chem (not sure since I'm taking it now), World History
Not so bad: Calculus
EASY: Euro history, micro/macroecon

Well, here's my two cents:
I'd heard that AP Physics C is murder and to take it along with AP Chemistry is double suicide. Trust me, it isn't so.
First of all, do what you like. You'd be suprised how well you do in classes you can stay awake in. I find both Chem and Physics both decently easy (assuming you do your part with the work and such) but more importantly, damn interesting.
Also depends on what school you go to. I guess our science APs must be good(i.e. "difficult" to the layman) because most of our people manage 5s.

Much of this is based on what people have lectured me on for my couse selection, so here i go.

Easy: Calc AB, Eng Lit (class and test), Enviro

Medium: US History(test only. class is a pain in the ars. Before APs, there are the two most dreaded weeks of the year, both named by the teacher. Hell week, followed by Super hell week.) Chem (people struggle in class but do very well), Bio

Hard: Calc BC, Physics B & C, and Music Theory (that class makes me want to cry)

Thats all i know of. But then again, it all depends on the teacher and your background. If you have a bad background in reading and writing, you will obviously have a hard time in AP Eng. And some teachers just cant teach. For a long time our physics techer couldnt teach for beans. thats why we didnt offer C in awhile... too incompetent

Music Theory seems the hardest, from what I've heard. You have to listen to notes and know exactly which one is it, be able to hear a snippet of music and name the composer & song, etc.

Hardest: AP World History (but my favorite class of all time, and probably will ever be, even though history is my least favorite subject)
Medium: AP US, AP Euro
Easiest: AP Calc AB, AP English Language
