Hi everyone! I would really appreciate some input on an issue I'm having.

My school is small and only offers like, one period of every class. So there are alot of conflicts in scheduling. As in, it is physically impossible for me to take AP French AND Econ AND enviro.

SO my question is, should I take 1. AP French and not take Econ+Enviro, or 2. drop AP French and take AP Econ+Enviro?

I've taken two years of Chinese+Chinese AP test (5) and three years of french already, so five years combined but no 4 years in a language (Which I've heard colleges like)

ALSO, if I take SAT II French and do well, will that kinda "make up" for me not taking AP French

Just a PS I'm a senior and I never had any intention of actually taking the AP French test, I just wanted another AP class on my transcript and the GPA bumpup.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!

If you aren’t interested in AP French for the class’s sake, then go ahead and take Econ and Enviro if those interest you more. Seeing that you don’t want to take the AP French test and are considering it a GPA boost, that would automatically make Econ and Enviro more important (to you). And I believe that you have enough years of a language and if you are concerned about that, you can go ahead and take the SAT II French test.

I’ll say it again…look at the college(s) you want to go to and see if they take AP credit for those classes. Most take credit for 3’s or higher on French and Enviro. Econ is less common to get credit for a 3, but it’s not unheard of.

I think it’s pointless to take an AP unless you can get credit for it. That is, unless you actually have a passion for the subject. (Though, I have yet to find anyone on CC who actually has a passion for the 10+ APs they take, myself included.)
