AP Classes Online

Some of you may already be familiar with Florida Virtual School (Welcome to Florida Virtual School: an online e-learning solution). If not, it is one of (if not THE) best virtual school providers in the U.S. It has more than 52,000 students nation-wide enrolled.

Anyways, they offer some AP classes. I'm not sure if it would be a good idea to take an AP class online or not. At first, I thought it would be nearly impossible or difficult to do well in an AP course online... but I was recently introduced to the concept of self-studying, so I wonder if taking an AP class through FLVS is comparable to self-studying, but offers you quite a bit of extra guidance and help.

Basically, I want to know if it's not a good idea to take an AP course online.

TIA

Yes, you just have to keep up with the work. My friend took AP Micro as a Freshman he got an A in the class the first quarter of it, 2nd quarter he got lazy and didn't keep up with the work and got an F in the class. It affected his GPA pretty bad, and he freaked out. So now this summer he is retaking it to replace his F.

Ahh, I see. I suppose I might as well take the class through FLVS if I was originally planning on self-studying, right? Overall, it'd help me understand the content much better, thus allowing for the ability to perform better on the exam, right?
