AP Classes

As we all know, we all apply to college on our senior year of high school.
So if I submit my application to a college, I dont know my AP scores.
I know the scores from my sophomore and junior year, but not my senior.
Im only in 10th grade, but im asking this question so I can plan my high school class carefully.

You obviously cannot report scores of exams you haven’t taken yet. Many students don’t report their junior year AP scores either. AP Exams don’t usually affect admissions; they are used mostly for class placement.

It’s more important to take AP classes than to get good scores on the exams. You don’t actually submit ANY of your official AP scores to colleges until after you’ve been accepted. You just self report the exams you’ve taken and list the ones you plan to take.

And sometimes things work out the way you plan…

My son was convinced early on that he was going to apply ED to a school, so he had his Soph and Jr year AP results sent to the school. This forced them to open up a file on him even before the ED application process, and shows an “interest” in attending. Although anecdotal stories are not evidence, and Your Milage May Vary, in his case it worked, so that is something to consider.

OK thanks for replies
