Ap classes?

I was wondering if these classes play s big role when you apply to college. And if they do how many Ap classes should I take if I wanna go to Nyu or Boston university.

Well AP classes weight your GPA which is important in class rank…
and I can’t tell you how much you need unless you tell me about ur ECs, SAT scores
But I’m guessing 8-9 is a good number

Well I can’t take 9 my school only offers about 6 so so I’ll probably take at least 3.

Boston University and New York University are two way different schools. NYU is more selective and extracurricular oriented while BU is a bit less selective and cares less about extracurriculars. Most students don’t take even 1 AP exam in the U.S. – so I imagine, to be competitive, you should shoot for perhaps 4+. More than that is great, but not necessarily the standard. I know kids who only took 2 or 3 and got into NYU.

AP classes are important because:

 • they show colleges that u’ve challenged yourself
 • if you get a good score, you get college credits for some APs
 • it adds to ur GPA

If your school offers 6, take as many as you can but do it if you like the subject =)
