Hello! I am currently going to be a sophomore. I'm not in honors math, therefore I have not taken geometry in freshmen year (I'm taking geometry in my sophomore year). I am panicking because due to this, my school will not let me take chemistry in sophomore year, which I do not understand because geometry and chemistry have no correlation. So I will be taking earth science and then honors chemistry in junior year so I will not be able to take any science APs.
However, I am taking AP World in my sophomore year, will take AP English and APUSH in my junior year and AP Lit, AP Bio, and AP Gov in my senior year.

Will this affect my chances of getting accepted into colleges?

I would like to go to Penn State or Boston University.

My overall average in currently a 93.
In my freshmen year, I was in all honors except for math.

You’ll be fine. Although I do recommend you to take AP Calculus before you graduate. If you can take both algebra 2 and precalculus (or the equivalence) during your junior year, then try to do so. It’s good that you’re trying to take advantage of all the AP’s your school offers.

If you really want to take a college level science class, I recommend dual-enrolling, if you can, at a local community college or university. If you cannot do this either, resort to online courses if you can afford them. Stanford EPGY and JHU CTY are very renowned in math and science, and colleges are well informed of their rigor.

I know people who have gotten into both Penn State and Boston University with much fewer APs and precalculus as the highest math. So it can be done.
