I'm currently a junior

Should i take just as difficult courses like 6 aps?
or should i chill and relax w. taking only 3 aps?

First of all, your stats are awesome (go Aca Deca!), I'd say you're right on track for UCB and UCLA. As for the number of APs you should take... I certainly don't think the UCs will think you're a slacker if you "only" take three, and six APs is a lot so it's really up to you. Clearly you can handle the amount of work involved, but just keep in mind that next year you'll also be busy with college applications and (at least in my experience) AP teachers don't "ease up" on students during the application season.

i don't really know i sorta think i need to take 6
my schools Asian students are like super competitive
im ranked #5 but tied with 4 ppl and there are 10 people between the ranks of 1-4
do yu think this is a reasonable schedule?
Ap Physics
Ap Statistics
Ap Comp Sci
Ap Calculus
Ap Governemnt
Ap Literature

I say at least take the calc, government, and literature classes. And since you've taken the honors physics, might as well keep going. If you are looking to become the valedictorian or something, then go ahead and take them, you've shown that you can handle a full schedule. However, if you think that next year may bring some slackiness, then just go for 3/4/5 and deal with the fact that you aren't going to be TOP student.

Just do what you feel you can handle.

"i want to apply to a decent UC school"-all the uc schools are decent...I would say ucr is pretty good also =D

k thanks :]
i noe i won't be #1 or #2
because those guys came from different schools and like have a bunch of ap classes covered already

You probably don't need to take all 6, unless you're really looking to boost your ranking. And actually, that won't really help with your ranking, since you send in your transcript before the end of first semester.

I took three APs my senior year, and one semester of a community college class (Calc 2). As those were my only academic classes, I was comparatively slacking off. But I still got accepted into all the UCs you mentioned, because I had a great GPA, had taken quite a few difficult courses, etc.

Honestly, nothing is going to guarantee that you get into Berkeley or UCLA. Wonderful students get rejected every year. But you aren't going to hurt your chances too bad if you take 3/4/5 APs your senior year.

Oh, and as darkhope said, none of the UCs are all that bad. Well, it's too early to say for Merced yet, but the others are all pretty good.

yay me! maybe i can get a social life during my senior year ;P
