My school only offers 1 AP class before senior year. Colleges only look at 1/4 of your senior year, right? So say I take 4 AP classes senior year, my AP test scores won't matter? All that matters is your first 1/4 grades, right?

Depends when you apply, if the colleges ask for your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th term grades, and maybe other factors.

From what I’ve heard, colleges don’t really care all that much about AP scores in terms of admission. I think they are used mostly for placement.

sg12…do colleges care a lot about honors classes, or mostly APs?

Most selective schools care about your taking a demanding class-load in terms of your school. In your case, since your school does not offer many AP classes, top schools will be looking for you to be taking mostly honors classes.

yea…so far i’ve taken 5 honors classes…which should be more next year, junior year…

Just take a demanding course load. Colleges look at your available courses. They judge from there.

Tch, wish my school had an honors track. I’m stuck with minimal APs and no honors…

Always take the most rigorous courseload your school affords and you won’t be at a disadvantage.
