My school has just released AP comp Sci principles for next year. I have no comp Sci experience, but am willing to self study over the summer. Which class would be easier for someone with no prior experience?
Principals is much easier just because it requires no programming background, however you will not learn nearly as much useful information. If you are just looking to take an AP first your GPA, take principals, but if you are looking to learn more about the subject in a more vigorous appraoch, take comp sci A.
I’m taking compsci A right now and it’s pretty easy for me(but that’s probably because I am really interested in it). I would recommend taking principles one year and then compsci A another year. Principles will allow you to learn the basics of data structures and machine language and then compsci A will help you apply your knowledge from principles in a practical manner. Goodluck!
