AP COMP SCI VS. AP US GOV. BUT THERE'S A CATCH

I have already taken AP Macro and Microeconomics but in order to take AP US GOV my school requires I take a semester of econ honors. I have an inclination towards politics and intern at a congresswoman’s office. Should I skip out on US GOV and instead spend the year on AP COMP SCI, or would ivies rather see me challenge myself in uncomfortable areas than stick with a comfort zone. Another thing that should be mentioned, is the econ teacher offered to make the teaching assistant and my counselor said he would clarify the scenario on my midyear report. What do you guys think? Would really appreciate the help.

Are you sure you have to take the econ honors course? That makes no sense, since you’ve taken AP. That should fulfill the prereq.
