AP Comparative Government and Politics Textbook?

Hey,

I'm studying AP Comparative Gov & Pol this year - since I'm taking AP US Gov & Pol in school I thought it would be interesting.

For anyone that takes the actual class, are there any textbooks you would recommend? I have the Ethel Wood prep book, but I'm not sure if that's enough.

Anyways, thank you so much! :)

It is.

However, if you want a textbook, I would suggest getting [Introduction to Comparative Politics: Political Challenges and Changing Agendas](http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/0618604472/ref=ed_oe_p_olp) by Mark Kesselman and reading the sections relevant to the countries on the test. You can buy the book used for only a few bucks (probably cheaper than the study guide).

I would also strongly suggest you read the material found at the [AP Comparative Government and Politics Course Home Page](<a href=“Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board”>AP Comparative Government and Politics Course – AP Central | College Board), specifically the “Related Articles” and [Briefing Papers](<a href=“Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board”>http://apcentral.collegeboard.com/apc/members/courses/teachers_corner/42256.html).

I’ll look at the textbook and see, and I’ve started reading the prep book and it seems very thorough. I haven’t heard of as many people studying AP Comp Gov so I want to make sure I’m ready.

Thanks for all your help! Anyone other advice? :p

I had a textbook for my class, but really only read Ethel Wood’s book. Also, I would suggest keeping up to date on the current events of each of the 6 countries, at least vaguely.

Oh okay, thanks for the advice!! XD
