AP Comparative Government Essays

Does anybody know how much we are supposed to write for each free response question? Should our answer be in essay or short answer form? Im really confused, so id appreciate the help...Also, does anyone know how generous the curve is for comp. gov.?

I would like to know as well - also, how much are FR questions worth in relation to MC?

help us please! also, does anyone want to participate in some last minute group studying?

....................anyone?

Okay, FRQs are worth less than half of your score, but their value differs with the test. Whatever you do, do not write your essay in outline form (you must use full sentences and paragraphs) because exam scorers aren't allowed to give any points for such essays.

When it comes to the amount of stuff you should write, it depends on the question. If you're asked to define something, you don't need to write an essay. Just make sure you explain what you're supposed to, and give examples where applicable. Its quality over quantity. Make sure your answers are complete, and you'll do fine.

Good luck!

thanks...appreciate the help..:)

I used complete sentences and answered everything they asked for in the country specific and conceptual analysis questions, however I only wrote little and wrote just enough to get the point, then i moved on to the next letter without a coherent transittion because I thought they were only looking for the main points, not the fluff. Is that acceptable or did I just screw myslef over?

They don't give any points for aesthetic quality. As long as you used full sentences, and gave examples where applicable, you are probably on the right track.

Thanks rockermcr!

I finished 45 mins early and i was just kinda like "uh... do they expect me to write a two page freakin essay?" but I was the only one taking the exam and i was dismissed early. Which was good cause I didn't want to have to stay an hour after school. The proctor was surprised that I was finished so fast.
