AP Computer Science A and AP Computer Science AB

I have taken an AP Computer Science A course but I was unable to take the test, so instead of just writing some programs to refresh my memory, I was considering self-studying for Computer Science AB.

So I have some questions:
Do you need to know like twice as much information for AB as you do for A, or will it be pretty easy to learn everything I need to know for AB by adding to what I've already learned?

I want to go into a Computer Science related field so this is very important: is it of great benefit to me admissions-wise to take the AB test?

Does the AB test cover everything that the A test does or will I need to take the A test too?

I kinda forgot my other question so that's it for now :p Thanks a lot.

You have absolutely nothing to worry about, seeing as the Computer Science AB test has been discontinued.

[AP Central - Important Announcement about AP Computer Science AB](<a href=“Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board”>Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board)

Yup… R.I.P AP CS AB :(

You cannot take the AB test anymore, but you should still learn the course material as the extra data structures covered in AB are helpful with programming in general, even though it won’t be tested on the A test.

I heard that some topics such as Big-Oh Notation and Hash/Tree Maps will be incorporated into the A test - is that true?

yes
while its true that the AB test is cancelled
the A test will be covering more stuff starting next year
