AP Computer Science A Exam - Worth not taking?

Hey guys, I have a really important question that I need some advice on. I got accepted here at Purdue via early action (Boiler up!) in the education area, but there is something that has been keeping me awake at night for some time now: this AP exam. The AP Computer Science A exam has nothing to do with my major, and the reason I’m even in the class (yeah, yeah, I’ll take the haters on this one) is because a couple of friends of mine really wanted me to take it. I really hate the class, and I’m terrible at it, being only able to pump out a B- for both semesters so far. My question is, should I just pay the $15 to not take the exam (being in Indiana, the exam is paid for by the state) and risk Purdue seeing that as “not good” or something similar to that, or should I tough it out and get the 1 or 2? Thanks, guys!
