<p>So I've seen some of you have talked about AP CS A on FLVS being a hellish amount of work, so I'm wondering...how much is it? >_< I mean, the syllabus looks very simple...</p>
<p>Do you think if I started in January it'd be too overwhelming?</p>

<p>No, but if you're from out of the state of Florida, it costs to take courses.</p>
<p>(Note: I do not know the prices per course)</p>
<p>It's not that bad, but January is REALLY late for an ap class to start.</p>

<p>it should be alright. I self-studied for Comp Sci AB only 2 weeks before the actual exam.</p>
<p>Completely no experience in Java, some experience in C++ though. Yea, I scored a 5</p>
<p>cloudone.... how did you do that?! I'm taking AP Computer Science A this year with Java experience and think it's incredibly difficult. Maybe it's because it's combined with IB SL? idk. All I know is tht ur insane for tht.... lol</p>

<p>I mean, I could do nothing all year, take like a couple practice tests two weeks before, and still get a 5 on AP Spanish ;P</p>
<p>I started APCS on FLVS in late January and still got a 5 on the exam. It's not that hard if you have some time each day or each week to dedicate to it.</p>
<p>Also remember, just because the AP exam is in may doesn't mean you have to have all the assignments done by then. If you learn the concepts for the exam you can always do the assignments after. I think I was only about 65% through the assignments when I took the exam.</p>
