Computer Science A:
60-80: 5
45-59: 4
33-44: 3
25-32: 3
0-24: 1

Can anyone tell me more about this? Like break it down into multiple choice and free response?

Is the above scale hard? How many multiple choice do I have to get to get a 3,4,5?

How many do I have to get to get a 3 with failing all of the free response?
Like APUSH teacher mentioned how a student on the AP test did so well with multiple choice (perfect score) that she got a 3 without writing the essays (although she did do essays, just saying like do well enough to get a 30)

There are 40 multiple choice questions, and 4 free response questions that are 9 points each. Your total score out of 36 for free response is multiplied by a scale of 1.11 so the free response and multiple choice are weighed equally(40 and 40). Im taking this tuesday too, and compared to the scales of some of the other ap tests like calc bc it doesnt seem to be as forgiving. Generally, though you should get around 7/9 on the free response and no more than 6 or 7 wrong in mc for a 5. As for getting a 3, that shouldnt be that hard, imo.

Does anyone know what the minimum score (out of 100) is for getting a 5 on AP Computer Science? Thanks.

Depends on the year. Since each exam includes new questions (in particular, the FRQs are new every year), the cutoff points for various scores vary from year to year. The statisticians at ETS review the raw scores before setting the cutoffs.
