Why is this easy. I am taking it online right now and I dont know what the hell I am doing lol. They say you don't need to know how to program for AP Computer Science A, which I don't but I still seemed to now know what the hell is going on. Am I the only one?

I also was like you when I began CS A. It is a lie that you don't need to know how to program in order do really well, although if you can think in an object - oriented way, it will be easier. I am you don't need to know JAVA before you go into the course, but you are going to be lost for the first weeks without it or some other language.

What's the point of taking if you don't plan on learning to program? If you learn to program it is easy.

im taking it to learn to program...i didnt say i dont want to learn to program, im just saying it seems like they assume you know stuff lol. i think i am going to be lost for a while.

by the way, is this considered to be one of the harder AP's?

Okay, sorry about that then I misread your post. I would suggest buying one of the java self help books at a book store. That's what I did and when school came around I was find while almost everyone else had an initial struggle understanding it. It's not consider a hard AP, but I will say that the out of class of 30 only 3 people got A's in my class. If you're good at algebra, then you will fine the class enjoyable.

i dunno. i found this class quite easy without previous knowledge in Java. However, i have had previous experience in Visual Basic, and the data structures are same. i suggest you get Barron's Computer Science AP book. it seems really thorough.
