AP Computer Science or AP Physics II or Senior Release(Study Hall)

So, I’m not sure which class I should take out of these 3. I want to take AP CS because I want to major in computer science in the future, but I’ve heard bad things about the teacher, mainly about how he’s unreasonable in project due dates, assignments, doesn’t really teach (he’s nicknamed supervisor [insert teacher name here] instead of Mr. [insert teacher name here]), and barely prepares you for the AP exam. Physics seems like a fun class, but I’m already taking IB Bio HL-B next year, so I’d be doubling up on sciences again. Not to mention I’m already doubling up on maths this year with AP Calc BC and IB Math Studies SL.

So really, what do you guys think I should take?

What are all the classes you taking this year?
What sciences have you already taken?

I think I would say take AP Computer science but assume you will be teaching yourself.

What is the point of taking AP Calc BC and IB Math studies?

I agree with @bopper. While it is unfortunate to hear about the AP CS situation, if you plan on majoring in the field, I recommend doing AP Comp Sci as it will prepare you very well. But also like @bopper said, there is no need to do both AP Calc BC and IB Math Studies SL. I really recommend you pick one of them as either of them are fine.

Best of luck and have a good day!

Drop IB math studies. If you’re taking BC it doesn’t make sense.
Take AP CS and physics if you’ve never taken it or early release if you have.
Think of the AP class as good preparation for college, since you’ll have to do a lot of work on your own in college.
