Did UA change what credit they give for AP Comp Science? I swear I thought that it gave my son credit for two or three of the beginning classes that are required for the major. When I look at the credit sheet now, it says that getting a 4 gets you credit for CS 114 and 116- neither of which are items that you take for a Comp Sci major. He got a 5 but it looks like that is not going to help him at all. He wanted to go dual degree between Comp Sci and Poli Sci but not having these intro courses out of the way may make that difficult.

I am seeing credit for CS 150/160/260 under credit by exam on the registrar page. Where did you see the above info?

Vlines- sure hope your page is right! Here is where I am seeing the other:
[University of Alabama Undergraduate Catalog 2008-10](<a href=“Page Not Found | The University of Alabama”>Page Not Found | The University of Alabama)

when I post it, it says catalog 2008-10, so maybe that is the problem that it is old. Hoping so. I got to it by putting “ap credit” in the search bar of the ua.edu home page

I believe this is the most recent AP credit listing: [Credit by Examination < The University of Alabama](http://courseleaf.ua.edu/introduction/academicpolicies/creditbyexamination/)

Yes, it looks like you pulled up an old page. So good news!

For everyone, here is the link to the entire 2012-13 undergrad catalog: [The University of Alabama Fall 2012?Summer 2013 Undergraduate Catalog < The University of Alabama](http://courseleaf.ua.edu/) - unfortunately, Google sometimes defaults to an older version.

AP Exam score classes given credit for hours of credit

Computer Science A 4 CS 150, CS 160 & CS 250 5 (note that a 4 is req’d for credit on this exam)

English Language 3 EN 101 3 FC
English Language 4 EN 101 & EN 102 6 FC
English Literature 3 EN 101 3 FC
English Literature 4 EN 101 & EN 102 6 FC
If both English AP tests are completed 3*** EN 101 & EN 102 6 FC

(from the link above)

You have to be careful when you use the search feature on the UA site too. It does not put the most recent entry at the top of the search results. So often old info will be the first thing to populate the search results.
