Is ah AP Computer Science a class worth taking? Though I know no ap class is easy but is the workload rough… How well does Computer Science look on one’s college Applications?

I would apperciate any input

Unless you love programming, steer clear of AP Comp. Sci. (A and AB).
I took A when it still worked in C++, and then AB when it switched to Java, and lets say it was brutal. I don't know if they're up to date with the new Java program (only second year running it, I believe), but it might not be wise risking it. Sure, I did have a crazy 'Nam vet. teaching it, but the case studies (specifically the Marine Biology one) pile heavily on the foundations of the language, and if you don't get the basics down, playing catch-up is mightly tedious. Oh, and don't count on getting any decent review books for Java, they only have sample exams thought-out by the publishing company and not ones released by the College Board (since it's just the second year).

I suppose having it won't hurt you, though.

By the way, got a 3 in A, and opted out of AB because of the language shift.

I like copm sci. It was fun. made me think differently and helped to develop my mind sophomore year. then again, I had a great teacher and put in a lot more time than everyone else.

Barron's is excellent for copm sci. For the AP test, for the class , or just learning for fun( nerd)
