Yeh they just offered this course at my school and i am not sure if i should take it. Do you have to be good at computers to take it? What do they teach in the class (and is the class generally hard)? Is the ap exam hard? and from your personal experiences, is it worth taking?

bump......

pleeeeeeeeeeeeease i know someone took this class and i have to decide whether or not i want to take it by tommorow!

you just have to have some basic skills. like you know turning on the computer, opening programs, etc. if you're good at logic and math it'll help a lot. you're basically programming and making programs. like you may have to make some simple ones at first like one that will add the first 13 multiples of 3 together. then you'll get into animations and stuff. if you're into being creative and mathy you'll like it

thanks!

pleaaase i still need more advice...help me..ur my only hope

yea basically what liz said. I think most teachers suck b/c most good computer pgrograms are doing more economical things than teaching. My teach was good though.

u dont need any prior experience in anything and just some basic math and problem solving skills. I thought it was easy but still challenging (most of my friends hated the class for its difficulty)

u dont need a good computer. U can either do all the programming at school or do some at home. If u do it at home, you have to download this ridiculously large decompiler program (like 50-100 MB) to do anything.

BTW, typing skills help. it sucks when u screw up cuz u made typos or omitted small crap (parentheses and brackets)
