Ap confusion

Hi CC community

I already got accepted to college. I did not put on my application form that I am intending to take AP's

If I take Ap's ... I'll start with few credits..
If I dont take Ap's, I will begin with introductory courses, and will get good GPA

I want to get to Law school.. so GPA needs to be high...
what would you people suggest?

just take the Aps and then inform ur college about it. Hoepfully, u'll get the credits. Now, do check w/ ur college's AP policy.

My college will reward me taking 4 Ap's with 5 credits..

However is it not better to take those courses at College.. and getting
high grades

"My college will reward me taking 4 Ap's with 5 credits.."
Now, r u trying to say that u've given 4 APs and got 5 in them?! U r a senior right? I'm confused w/ ur posting. If u've already taken 4 Aps just inform them even at the time of orientation and u'll be fine. They will give u credits.

sorry for the incoherent writing..:p

I am currently on a gap year..
I could take 4 AP's in May..and if I do well.. get credits for those when I matriculate in September. (already check my college's Ap policy)

I could also decide not to take any AP's.. do those courses at college and get high GPA

You definately titled your thread correctly when you said "ap confusion" lol. You could take the APs and get the credit which would be good but you asked if it would be better to get good grades in those classes in college...it's really a personal preference. If you think you'd rather do intro classes (they're usually tough because they're weeders) then do those but if you think you'd be bored or just want more difficult classes use the AP credit. One thing you didn't mention is if you were going to use AP credit on classes that are pre-reqs to law school...or if it was for electives...since that would make a big difference

The AP's I'm intending to take are those in the subjects in which I want to major in.

So could you please eleborate on the difference?

Well ok there are no prereqs to law school so like I said before it's really a personal preference. If you think you'd rather do intro classes (they're usually tough because they're weeders) then do those but if you think you'd be bored or just want more difficult classes use the AP credit.
