AP course

My school doensn't offer any AP courses( I go to school in Canada)

Do I have disadvantages for not taking APs when applying to

American universities?

They like to see you challenging yourself as much as possible but in the context of what is available to you. If no AP courses are available, is there any other source of college-preparatory courses you can tap into?

In Canada, there are four types of courses offered in grade 11 and 12:

University-prep course> University,College> College(community college

in the States) prep course> Workplace..

University-prep course is the hardest course.. I think..

If I study for APs, will my study in college be easier?

theres a section on your counselor's forms that asks which are the most difficult courses your school offers.. if you are taking them, then colleges will know you challenged yourself

I see.. But, does studying for AP exams out of classroom help you prepare for college?

scoring well on the exams may give you college credit, but actually taking the courses will help you more in getting used to the way college courses are taught. it would still be a good idea to study for those exams though

Do you have any book recommendation?

Just to make sure we're on the same page- you're planning to study by yourself and take the exam?
Sorry to seem like an idiot, but I do want to make sure. You're just simply asking about preparing for the exam.
