It would need a better name, because it wouldn’t be exclusively for people doing math contests, but I think they should have a class where you learn a bunch of random non-calculus math stuff you don’t see in pre-calculus. (Linear Algebra is like this, but AP Linear Algebra would probably have calculus as a prerequisite.)
This wouldn’t really correspond to any actual college class that I know of, though. I mean, they could call it AP Pre-Calculus, but pre-calculus isn’t (or shouldn’t be) a college class.</p>
