AP credit and calculators

So I'm not really sure where to look for this information but I thought I might as well ask here!

Does UCLA accept AP Calculus AB credit? If so, do they offer different amounts of credit depending on your score?

Also, what graphing calculator do math classes at UCLA recommend/require?

Yeah that last one is random but it's for a research assignment...thanks so much!!

Yes. For College of Letters and Science: [AP Credit - College of Letters and Science - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/APCreditLS.htm)

A 3 or 4 gives you 4 units, a 5 gives you 4 units and allows you to pass out of Math 31A.

I’ve always used a TI-84 graphing calculator, although I don’t remember the TI-89 being explicitly forbidden for any of my math classes. A TI-83 should suffice if you happen to have one of those. For some of my non-math classes, graphing calculators were not allowed on the exams and we had to use scientific ones.

You’re the best, thank you so much!!

I should note that some math professors won’t allow any calculators on the exams (i.e. for 33B)

Also a 3 or 4 on the AP exam will let you bypass Math 3A or Math 31A. It’s up to you which series you want/have to take (depends on your major)
