The SB website says that they accept 30 credits "in partial fulfillment of the bachelor's degree". Does this mean that you would skip freshman year and advance to a sophomore? Or does it just fill in a semester or so?

Good question. Yes and no; it means students can come in as freshmen with advanced standing, which means you’d register as a sophomore instead of as a freshman. Ultimately, how that impacts your degree is up to you; some people use those credits and graduate “early,” others will use that “extra” time to add a second major and/or a minor and/or an international experience or something like that.
