I recently found out that I got a 5 on the AP Calc AB test. I understand that this allows me to skip Math 31A and go to Math 31B.

I was wondering if the credit I got, added to my GPA at all, and if not can I take Math 31A anyway to help my GPA?

or does a 5 just count as a pass, with no grade?

The grades you get from UCLA courses are added to your UCLA GPA. Score 5 in AP Calc AB gives you credit unit, nothing added to your college GPA. However, if you take Match31A, it will be noted as “Repeat” on your transcript and it will not be added to your GPA (think about you have the knowledge already, and the school gave you credit units when AP report was received)
