Hi all,
I was looking at the UCLA’s AP Credit policy page (http://www.admission.ucla.edu/prospect/APCreditLS.htm) and I’m a little confused as to what they mean on here. It states that “AP units may be applied toward graduation.” and “AP credit does not satisfy General Education requirements.” And underneath there’s a little chart that says certain courses satisfy requirements such as American history, quantitative reasoning, etc. So if it doesn’t satisfy GEs, then what are the requirements in the chart…? Thanks.
@unicornforsale Maybe this can help:
http://catalog.registrar.ucla.edu/uclacatalog2015-16-6f.htm
"As soon as they are accepted for admission to UCLA, new students should learn the requirements necessary to receive a bachelor’s degree and begin planning an appropriate program of study. All undergraduate students must satisfy three types of requirements for a degree:
University requirements
College or school requirements
Department requirements"
So basically, when permitted, AP credit can be used to meet one or more of the above three requirements but not the GE requirement.
