So i got my AP scores back and I want to go to UTD. I found out that my 4 in AP Bio gives me credit for BIOL 2312 + 2112. But, a 5 gives me credit for BIOL 2311 + 2111,
BIOL 2312 + 2112,BIOL 2281.

What do these numbers mean? Are they separate classes, do more mean less classes to take in college? Also, it says that if you get a 3 you get 3 SCH free electives. What's this mean...

Sorry I'm so clueless :P

those are course numbers. A 4 in AP Bio gives you credit for Modern Biology I and its workshop. A 5 gives you credit in Modern Biology I and its workshop, Modern Biology II and its workshop, and Introductory Biology lab.

They just mean that you get credit for them, so you have less hours you need to take. 3 SCH hours mean 3 hours of electives. You need a certain number of free elective hours in order to graduate (I dont remember the exact number).

Hope this helps!

If you score higher than a 3, but the courses you get credit for don’t fulfill your major’s requirements, can you just use that course’s credit as elective credit?

yep. it’ll count towards your elective credit hours
