Hey everyone!

Please post your thoughts on which core classes that you wish you had skipped with AP credit. I'm trying to decide which tests to take, and figured that people who had taken these courses would know best. What did you think of your core classes and which should be avoided?

Thanks!

My son has taken a few intro-level classes at Ole Miss and feels strongly that all of them were cakewalks compared to the equivalent AP class. I felt the same way about the intro classes I took instead of taking AP credit 20 years ago. Remember that in most high schools only the brightest students take AP classes, but in college everyone takes intro classes, so you’re usually going to find AP classes more challenging than their college equivalents. Unless you like being bored and repeating stuff you already learned, take the AP credit.

Thank you for the exceptionally helpful response!
