AP Credit DOESNT go to STERN!??? w-t-f

Is this true?

If you took Calc AB, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics in high school; you don't even receive credit for them in Stern? and what if i got a 3 in Biology AP?? I'm pretty sure i can't get credit for that science class either since they only accept 4 and 5's? Someone please confirm these thingss

Defiantly only 4 and 5’s, Don’t know on Stern.

stern only takes 4-5’s. you don’t get credit for ap calc, economics and stat. they’re only used for placement. i think you get like 4 credits for soc ap’s and i think 8 for sciences…

Stern does NOT accept AP scores for their core classes. however, they might accept your math scores and other AP courses. Here is the link

they do not accept the math scores for credit, only placement to a higher math and placement into microeconomics without taking calculus.

Here is the link for all that information

Wow so this kinda sucks…but also technically since I am not really good at Math OR economics, could i techinically take the AP tests and score pretty low. Then they would place me in easier classes at NYU and then I could get better grades cause i know this stuff and then get a higher GPA. Am I missing something here? I mean, cause since this situation sucks really bad, wouldnt it help me overall?

And plus I don’t need to study for my AP tests and save some white hairs.

The only downside I see to this is I don’t really become any smarter. are there any negatives to this plan?

$70 down the hole.

some professors assume you know basic economics and terms when teaching the class so taking the AP class isn’t a bad thing.
