What is the AP exam mark to credit conversion rate in UC Berkeley's college of letters and science? I'm taking math AB and Physics C by the way

What do you mean? Generally you get credit for a score of 3 or above. In some cases a score of 4 or 5 is required to test out of certain requirements. Depends also on which College you are in, in some cases, I think.

I read somewhere that letters & science do not give AP credit, is it true?

That's not true. All this information is on the berkeley.edu website you need to dig it up and research carefully.

AP Subject Credit for Math
Advanced Placement Examinations

Generally AP tests other than English and Math do nothing for you. Some majors/departments will let you use AP/IB credit to get out of some courses

If you scored a 3 or higher on any AP exam, you get credit no matter what UC you attend.

However, each campus determines course (or GE) exemptions differently.

According to the site, Berkeley does not let you use AP credit to fulfill your GE requirements. And AP credit will not count towards your maximum number of units for your major unless you want it to.

Calculus AB with a 3 or above should give you 2.7 semester units and exempt you from Calculus I

Physics C will give you 2.7 semester units for each part (Mechanics or Elect/Mag) with a max of 5.3 semester units for all AP physics exams.

Um, they give you elective credit to allow you to graduate early.

whats the AP policy for engineering??? that website is for L&S
