AP Credit - HELP!

So, first of all, I'm debating between enrolling at Rutgers University or U of M (I'd rather go to U of M).

But my question for now is about AP credit at U of M. I'm registering for AP tests and am debating which ones to take (if they would be worth anything at U of M).

-AP Lit & Comp
-AP US History
-AP Statistics
-AP Micro

I also have a 5 on AP Lang & Comp, if that helps anyone answer my question/concern.

Thanks in advance for your help (:

Hahah, I already looked at that. Let me clarify: I’m confused by what they (the university) mean. Exemptions, credit hours, placement - I don’t really see how that all works.

I spoke to a friend and he said that credit hours only really mean much when you register for classes. IF that is true, what are the advantages of that?

I’m not trying to rationalize studying for AP tests, I’m just trying to see if it would benefit me at all in college.
