AP Credit Question

So I'm a senior in high school and it's almost time to start paying for AP tests, but I'm not sure if I should take tests for all the APs I'm in.

Should I take the AP Lit exam? I didn't do too well on the AP Eng exam (got a 3) but my teacher this year isn't very good, so I have a feeling I'll get a 3 again. Is it worth it to pay the $90?

And AP Comp Gov and Pol, what would it exempt me from if I plan to be a science major?

I'm also taking AP Calc AB, but I will take the test for that class.

No class exemption for any of those AP tests.
You can get elective credit with scores of 4 or 5

[USC ARR : Articulation : Advanced Placement Exams](http://www.usc.edu/dept/ARR/articulation/apexams.html)

Son came into USC with 16 AP credits none of which got him out of any required courses but did count toward total credits needed to graduate adn it will enable him to have enough credits to have a very light last semester his senior year.

Please remember that you may or may not be attending USC next year. While USC limits their AP credit to 4s and 5s, many other colleges accept threes for credit - including the UCs. In addition, UCs offer direct GE credit, so any applicants who are wondering if they should spend the ~$90, consider that even a community college course would cost more than that, and with the difficulty in getting classes at many UCs, your AP credit may be what helps you graduate on-time, if not early at many universities, including the UCs.

As for USC, my student came in with the maximum 32 units granted through AP credit, which meant she had sophomore status upon entry and junior status by second semester - giving her wonderful registration priority and plenty of room for a minor.

I know that many colleges accept 3s, but I already got a 3 on the AP Lang test, and I cannot see how I can do any better on the AP Lit test. Will getting 3s on both tests benefit me in any way?
