AP Credit Question

I registered to take the AP Government and Politics test before I was going to Austin, yet now I am questioning whether it is worth taking the exam. UT's website which shows what scores you need to receive what credit states "Because eligibility for credit is not based on AP scores alone, no AP scores are listed. The UT Austin Test on Texas Government must be taken on the UT Austin campus." So will I get any credit for the AP GoPo test that I can't receive through other means? Should I take the test or drop out and save myself time and money?

Other people have posted this and commented on it. Look at threads from last year. If you pass the AP Gov test, there is a simple and very brief "Texas Government" extra test to take. If you pass that, the combination gives you credit for the first of the two required government classes (GOV 310L). It is definitely worth taking th AP Gov test. But wasn't it given on May 5? Can you still take it?

Thanks for the help, my school rescheduled the test because the national We The People Competition (which we combine with the AP GoPo class) was during the May 5th testing date. Sounded like bad planning on We The People's part but at least school's can reschedule.

Many people walk into the "Texas Government" supplement without any preparation at all and come out with credit. Since UT no longer gives grades, any passing score will suffice.
