If im going to a community college and have AP college credit, can I use this for GE and the university Im transfering to will honor this? Or does the AP credit not apply since its not directly to the school itself. Im a bit confused on AP credit and how I can use it when transfering.
You ned to ask the colleges you are applying to for transfer. Some will accept a full AA or AS degree as completing the full gen ed requirements, and won’t care if that CC degree includes a bunch of credits from AP, CLEP, and other exams. Others won’t award credit unless the AP/CLEP/ other exam score is on their specific approved list. Interestingly, Happykid’s CC did not give credit for some exams that one of her target universities did! So check the exams and accepted scores very carefully at both the CC and the targets.
