I took AP Physics B last year and scored a 5. I'm planning on majoring in Chemical Engineering, do I get any credit for it? Also do I have to start with Physics 41 or can I directly start with Physics 45?
Thanks

You'll get credit for Physics 21 and 23 (4 units each), but those don't count toward the ChemE degree. You still have to start over and take 41 and 43; 45 is not a major requirement. There's probably not an ABET-accredited engineering program in the country that accepts AP Physics B toward their physics requirement.

Thanks :D
So do these credits count in my 180 credit min?

Yes, they'll count for your 180-unit graduation requirement, but nothing else.

Ahh better than nothing right? Its good to know they count Thanks im_blue

I took the physics C AP and got two different scores on the different parts, how does that work for credit? (example: 3 on Mech and 4 on E&M)

we get so little ap credit. it makes me sad. :C

You'd get 5 units of credit and exemption from taking Physics 43. You'd still have to take 41 and/or 45 if your major requires them.

thanks im_blue!
