<p>hey guys, I am really sorry if this topic is posted already, but I just took the AP LITERATURE exam and if I receive the credit will I need to take the class for college as a pre-med requirement? and also are there any electives in college that i can take for my first year that would boost my average or is related to med?Thanks in advance.</p>

<p>You can take the AP credit to satisfy basic English requirements at your university, but a lot of medical schools require actual coursework to satisfy their English/writing requirements. Your AP credit gives you the option to take English classes that actually interest you as opposed to taking the required lower-level courses that you may find boring...or that you may really enjoy because they may be less involved than other courses. The main point is that it is in your best interest to take at least two English courses in college.</p>
