AP credit?

So I got out of the physics mechanics class (1 semester) at my school using AP credit. However, I know that most med schools want a full year of physics. Would they accept the AP credit or would I have to take the class over again or should I take more advanced physics classes? (I hate physics)

Advice?

nope, they won't accept AP credit for pre-req courses - sorry

And you don't need advanced physics for med school or the MCAT - if your school has the option for calculus-based or non calculus-based physics, take the latter.

frutia, please double check everything. Every time. For some schools my D is considering Physics AP would be fine but if I remember correctly non-calculus based physics would not be.

really? Harvard MSTP is the only school I can think of that requires calculus based physics.

Yep. Really. Here's the one my D is considering that I was thinking of while posting

There may or may not be others.
