ok...i will have taken a total of 8 AP tests in high school. i know i probably have less credit than most though. but i have some questions:
How many AP tests did most people take?
Is anyone planning on not using all the AP credit they got?
thanks

misterme-
My s. used his AP credits to get into higher level classes (ie he got into sophomore level engineering classes with his physics and calculus credits) but he isn't planning to "use" his AP credits towards graduation. I hope this is making sense.. He took some calc class this year even though he could have used his calc AP towards his major. Hope this isnt too confusing.

I shouldn't think that you'd have less credit than most. I probably only had five or six AP tests going in, and I retook a couple of the classes that I'd actually placed out of. The most important thing is that you get a solid basis for everything else that you're going to learn. It's perfectly fine not to use all your AP credit, I probably didn't use half of mine.

jym...so were these credits used to fill distribution requirements?

i will probably be entering with no AP credit, loving senior year every single moment.

i have a 4 or 5 in comp sci a, physics b, and spanish lang. this year i'm taking calc, euro, physics c, and econ. i want to get a 4 or 5 in calc, physics c, and econ (i don't care at all about euro) for credit. guess i had best get back to studying then...
