Can anyone tell me how generous UCI is with their AP policy?? I checked their site but the information that was posted was kind of vague.

I'm also wondering if you can graduate UCI in 3 years if you take enough AP classes and tests (passing them of course).
By the time I graduate, I will have taken 12 AP classes. So far, I have passed 6 AP tests and hopefully I'll pass the next 6 tests.
Is it possible for me to graduate in 3 years??

It really depends on your major and what AP classes you’ve taken. If you’re an engineering major, graduating in under 4 years is highly unlikely.

If you got 3’s on your exams, then you’re most likely only given elective credit. Those will add up to your class ranking status and the number of elective credits you take in college, but it may not exempt you from the general education courses and major related courses.

Take for example, if you’re a Bio major, passing the AP Bio exam will not exempt you from taking the freshman bio classes.

Here is the chart for 07-08, you can probably find the 09-10 chart in the general catalogue on-line, but there are probably no major differences.
